http://www.filemaker.co.uk.
Q. Do we need FileMaker software to run the Architectural Data Management System?
A. Yes, buy an ADMS Contacts 3 product that includes the required number of FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server user licences.
Q. If we already have a number of FileMaker software products what do we do?
A. The ADMS requires FileMaker Pro version 6 and FileMaker Server version 5.5, contact your specialist or dealer for upgrades and additional licences.
Q. Why would we need FileMaker Server on a separate machine?
A. FileMaker Server is a more efficient and stable way to host the ADMS software. Up to 250 clients can connect to a server and the server can be scheduled to pause the databases in order to make backup copies. Other useful features include remote administration and activity logs. FileMaker Server is strongly recommended for systems of 8 or more clients and preferred for any multi-user setup.
